About the Cosmos Connection Magazine

We worked on a 3-4 person design team to publish a magazine. Your design team will belong to a “publishing house” that produces two sister publications - one for kids ages 10-14 (grades 5-8), and one for adult ages 18 and over. The purpose was to work on a long-form document while collaborating with others. We were allowed to select our theme as a publishing house, and then cater the content to each individual audience.

Process

Step 1

Select a general theme and topic to base the magazine around then assign a “role” to each group member.

Step 2

Once the topic was approved, begin finding articles and images to be used throughout the document, as well as deciding on the design elements.

Step 3

Create article pages individually, then bring them together to print and make sure all aspects are consistent throughout the magazine.
